Maldivian breakfast – Mas huni with Roti
Ingredients
- 3 x Cans of tuna in salt water (cooked fresh fish is traditionally used)
- 2 x Coconuts grated (Can be replaced with desiccated coconut that have been soaked in water and coconut milk)
- 1 x Red onion finely chopped
- Bunch of cilantro
- Lemon zest and juice to taste
- Chilli finely chopped to taste
- Salt to taste
Method
- Mix the chopped onion, chilli, lemon zest & juice, cilantro and salt with the drained tuna.
- Use your hand you mix everything in thoroughly (bruising the onion zest and chilly release more flavour)
- Add the coconut and mix again
- Serve with roti
