• 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Table spoons oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix it together
  • Compress the flower mixture into a ball, take it out of the bowl and place it onto a floured worktop and knead the dough.
  • Knead until you have a soft dough (the softer the better, don’t overwork it.)
  • Break your ball of dough into small balls.
  • Let it rest for 10 min
  • Roll out each ball individually and cook in a pan on a high heat

Tip – roll them out really thin. You have a good roti if it puffs up while cooking.
